Traina is seeking a Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy to lead our strategic services and shape the future of our agency. This is a pivotal leadership role that demands both strategic vision and hands-on excellence. As our SVP of Brand Strategy, you will serve as the tip of the spear for Traina’s strategy services—directing the strategy team, interfacing with senior leadership across the agency, and owning strategic relationships with our most important clients. You will work across a diverse spectrum of industry categories, tackling the unique strategic needs of every client while also helping to guide Traina’s own brand evolution.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of agency experience with at least 6 years in strategy-specific roles. Experience in creative agencies, brand consultancies, or strategic marketing environments required.
  • Proven leadership track record. You’ve built and led strategy teams, mentored strategists, and demonstrated the ability to elevate both people and work. You know how to inspire excellence and create accountability.
  • Executive presence and stakeholder management. Exceptional at interfacing with C-suite clients and agency leadership. Comfortable leading strategic conversations at the highest levels and representing Traina’s strategic vision in high-stakes situations.
  • Strategic frameworks and brand expertise. Deep familiarity with developing core ideologies, positioning strategies, brand architecture, and messaging platforms.
  • Research fluency. Experience collaborating with research partners and translating insights into actionable strategy.
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills. Adept at translating strategy into compelling narratives—brand stories, value propositions, taglines, web copy, and other external-facing content. Equally comfortable presenting work and running strategy workshops remotely and in person.
  • Business acumen. Understanding of how brand strategy drives business outcomes, with the ability to connect strategic recommendations to revenue growth, market positioning, and competitive advantage.
